Booking Information & Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for contacting us! We look forward to helping you market your property. Please take a moment to read through the following information so you know what to expect when hiring us as your real estate photographer. You'll find answers to questions regarding shoot-day expectations, cancellations and rescheduling, Photoshopping, weather delays, image copyrights, asset delivery and payment.
Scheduling Process
For a quote or to schedule an appointment, email info@newflint.com or fill out our Property Questionnaire. Please provide location of property, number of floors, approximate total square footage, desired shoot date and services needed. We will get back to you within the day with a custom quote depending on your property's needs.
Please allow anywhere from 30 mins to 3 hours to shoot your property, depending on visuals package, building size and condition. A client representitive is requested on-site to give input and feedback during the shoot. If a representitive is not available, the photographer's best judgement of how to capture the space will be deemed acceptable.
Cancellations less than 24 hours from our scheduled appointment will result in $100 fee. If we arrive at the property to find the shoot is cancelled (or we are denied entry), 100% of the quoted shoot amount will be assessed. 30 Minutes past our scheduled time will be considered a cancellation. Rescheduling due to weather will be determined by agent and photographer.
Color-correction, multi-exposure combination and basic retouching are included with one round of revisions. Advanced Photoshopping and retouching will be charged at an hourly rate and, if possible, should be discussed before the shoot.
We highly recommend a professional home staging consultation prior to the shoot, as home stagers know how to get a property picture perfect! Please note: The photographer is not responsible for the appearance or condition of the property. Properties will be shot "as is." Due to liability and potentially damaging flooring, walls, decor, etc., we try to avoid moving electronics, furniture, treadmills, kitchen appliances, dog crates, construction materials, etc. Please be sure your client has removed all personal hygiene items from sinks, showers and bathtubs. If we notice a pillow on a bed isn't sitting correctly or some couch cushions need adjusting, we will make a reasonable effort to ensure it looks as best as possible, but overall the property should be ready to go when we arrive.
Expect a 48 hour turnaround for photos and floor plans. Digital Assets will be delivered as high resolution jpgs via private Dropbox link. If adjustments are necessary, please provide feedback within 24 hours of asset delivery to avoid additional expense.
New Flint Imaging, LLC is permitted to use digital assets for self promotion and portfolio purposes. Client shall not sell or license the assets to any other entity. Any request for assets from a 3rd party should be handled by New Flint Imaging, LLC. and their principals. Frequently Asked Questions
How do I schedule an appointment?
Please fill out our Property Questionnaire or email (info@newflint.com) to schedule photoshoots. Appointments are booked on a first-confirmed basis and we generally book out 2 days in advance. To ensure you are able to schedule photos on the day of your choosing, please notify us a week prior to the requested scheduling date.
What condition should the property be in?
All properties should be photo-ready when we arrive. We highly recommend a professional home staging consultation prior to photography, as home stagers know how to get a property picture perfect! Please note: The photographer is not responsible for the appearance or condition of the property, they will be shot "as is." Due to liability and potentially damaging flooring, walls, decor, etc., we try to avoid moving electronics, furniture, treadmills, kitchen appliances, dog crates, construction materials, etc. Please be sure your client has removed all personal hygiene items from sinks, showers and bathtubs. If we notice a pillow on a bed isn't sitting correctly or a mattress is showing, we will definitely go the extra mile to make it look as best as possible, but overall the property should be ready to go when we arrive. If you need a recommendation for a cleaning service or a stager who can provide staging consultations for occupied properties let us know, we would be happy to pass along some suggestions. Ask us for our Pre-Shoot Checklist.
Do You Photoshop/virtually stage?
Color-correction, multi-bracketed exposures and basic retouching with one round of revisions is included. Advanced Photoshopping and retouching should be discussed prior to the shoot and will be billed accordingly on an hourly basis. We offer virtual staging on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire for details.
What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?
We understand how dynamic the real estate industry is and things can change in a snap! However, we respectfully ask for 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule photo shoots. Within the 24-hour window, a cancellation fee of $100 will be assessed. If we arrive at the property to find the shoot is cancelled (or we are denied access to the property), 100% of the quoted shoot amount will be assessed. A rescheduled shoot will then be billed as a completely new photoshoot. We do not foresee any reason to assess fees assuming communication between us is open and current.
Should we reschedule if the weather is bad?
Photoshoots will continue as scheduled as long as it is not physically raining. If rain is present, we can shoot the interior as the seller has probably put a lot of hard work into getting it ready for the scheduled shoot. We will then return for exterior photos at the earliest day possible where the weather cooperates. Another option is we can reschedule the entire shoot to our next available appointment. (No reschedule fees will be assessed for inclement weather.)
When will I get the photos?
Our turnaround time for photos and floor plans is 48 hours. It's almost always sooner! However, due to technology and our workload at any given time, we may need the 48 hours to be sure we deliver a quality product. Expect slightly longer if revisions are requested/necessary. Feedback should be given to us within 24 hours of photo delivery. Digital Assets will be delivered via private Dropbox link for you to download. Your selects will be available in the cloud for up to 6 months.
Can you access properties without me?
It is requested that you, or a client representitive, is on-site to give feedback during the shoot. If a representitive is not available, the photographer's best judgement of how to capture the space will be deemed acceptable.
How does the copyright/ownership of photos work?
By booking an appointment, you are paying for appropriate licensing to utilize the photos to market the sale or rental of the property. In photography, the photographer almost never gives up copyright of the photos to another individual. Purchasing the license gives you the ability to market the property on Streeteasy, Trulia, MLS, Social Media platforms, etc. as well as print for brochures. Please note that in the unlikely event the listing is canceled, you do not have the appropriate permissions to re-sell the photos. If a new listing agent contacts you about using the photos, please have them contact us. They may purchase the photos from us, only after we receive explicit permission from you that you don't mind that the transaction takes place. Usage of the images by a third party, including but not limited to, architects, builders, stagers, designers, sellers, buyers, is strictly prohibited unless approved in writing by photographer.
How do I pay for your services?
We will invoice you upon delivery of assets. Our requested payment period is 30 days. Checks can be made out and mailed to: New Flint Productions, 65 Van Buren St., Brooklyn, NY 11221. Electronic payment through PayPal, Venmo, Chase QuickPay available upon request.
Thank you for trusting us to help market your property. We look forward to a successful business relationship with you!
Sincerely,
Jason Shaltz
